This update of the Formulate2 Dairy Ration Optimizer implements new, streamlined user interfaces for ration set up. Simplified ration and feed index lists shown below allow you to select feeds for rations just by clicking on the toolbar Feeds button then double clicking on the feeds you wish to use - all directly from the ration record!
Selecting Feeds to Use
Finding rations is a snap! Just click on the toolbar Diets button then double click on the name of the producer. You can then move through the producer's rations with the toolbar Next and Prev buttons.

We've also included a step-by-step tutorial exercise in which we walk you through the actual set up of your first ration. You read the steps in the exercise then actually do each step with Formulate2. At the end of the exercise you've set up and optimized your first ration, learned how to quickly find it the next time you want to work with it and how to set up your next ration with just one mouse click!
