Constraint Value Precedence |
Overview The NRC Reqs menu option returns to the ration record the available NRC requirements that are not dynamically determined. You can use this option to view NRC requirements without running a formulation.
If a nutrient item is marked in it's bind field but no user minimum or maximum value is entered, the NRC minimum will be enforced. If no NRC minimum value is present and the value is not dynamically determine, the constraint item will be ignored at formulation time. However, when both NRC and user enter values are present, user minimums and maximums always take precedence over NRC values. At formulation time, user values are the values enforced. The screen image below shows both NRC and user values for NEL (see highlight bar). At formulation time, the user value of 42 Mcals will be enforced rather than the NRC density value of .7192 Mcals/DMI.
